Is there an MCP server for Facebook and Instagram data?
Yes. SocialAPIs has a hosted MCP server at https://mcp.socialapis.io/mcp (or npx -y @socialapis/mcp) with 12 read-only tools for public Facebook and Instagram data: Pages, groups, posts, the Ads Library, Marketplace and Instagram profiles. Meta's official option
Most Facebook MCP servers you'll find wrap Meta's official APIs: they manage your own ad accounts or Pages and need a Meta app and token. They don't read other Pages' public data, competitors' ads or Marketplace.
How to do it with SocialAPIs
Remote clients: add the URL with the header Authorization: Bearer <your key>. Claude Desktop: the npm package with SOCIALAPIS_API_KEY in its env. Each tool takes an action (e.g. facebook_ads → search), and a tool call uses the same credits as the API call behind it. Setup for each client: Integrations.
