SocialAPIs is a REST API for public Facebook and Instagram data with flat per-request pricing: plans from $4.99/month, down to about $1.49 per 1,000 requests on the largest plan. No bandwidth fees, no compute units, no per-Actor billing. One auth header (`x-api-token`), one rate limit, 53 endpoints. MCP server for AI agents (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and any MCP client): 12 read-only tools, hosted at https://mcp.socialapis.io/mcp or `npx -y @socialapis/mcp`.

One credit per call for most endpoints; the few that cost more are listed with their price under "API endpoints" above. Every response says what it charged (`X-SocialAPIs-Credits-Deducted` header). Calls that return data are charged, including empty results (no ads found, no contacts); errors (4xx / 5xx, timeouts) are not. No bandwidth fee, no compute units.

## Who runs SocialAPIs

SocialAPIs.io was founded in 2026 by Oussema Frikha, registered in the United Arab Emirates. Two engineers, no investors. The company grew out of a Facebook Scraper API still live on RapidAPI that currently handles 7.2M+ API calls a month for 364 customers (last 30 days). ### Is there an API to get public Facebook page data without the Graph API?

Yes. SocialAPIs returns a public Facebook Page's details (name, category, followers, contact info) with `GET /facebook/pages/details` and its latest posts with `GET /facebook/pages/posts`, using one API key: no Meta developer app, no app review, no Page access token. It reads what a logged-out visitor can see on the Page.

### Is there still a Facebook Groups API?

No. Meta removed the Facebook Groups API for every Graph API version on April 22, 2024, so apps can no longer read group posts through it. For public groups, SocialAPIs' `GET /facebook/groups/posts` returns the latest posts as JSON with one API key; private groups aren't available through any public-data API.

### How do I get posts from a public Facebook group via API?

Call `GET /facebook/groups/posts` with the group's URL as `link`: it returns the group's latest public posts as JSON (text, post link, author, reaction and comment counts), newest first. It works for public groups, with one API key and no Meta app.

### How do I monitor a Facebook group for new posts?

Call `GET /facebook/groups/posts` on a schedule (every hour suits most groups), keep the post IDs you've already seen, and send each new one to Slack, email or a spreadsheet. Meta's own Groups API can't do this since it was removed on April 22, 2024, but a public group's posts are still one API call away.

### Can I use the Facebook Ad Library API without app review?

Not Meta's own: the Ad Library API requires identity confirmation and a Meta developer app, and it returns only ads about social issues, elections or politics plus ads shown in the EU. SocialAPIs' `GET /facebook/ads/search` returns what the public Ad Library website shows, by keyword or by advertiser, with one API key and no Meta app.
